Half a Century of Poetry Later – premiere today at 18:30
The movie Half Century of Poetry Later is a completely new story that takes place after the events of the proper saga and tells the story of the last witcher – Lambert. This does not mean, however, that we will not meet well-known characters here, including Triss Merigold and Dandelion, who was once again played by Zbigniew Zamachowski. A short outline of the plot is provided by the creators themselves:
A quarter of a century after the Rivian pogrom (recent events from the Saga), Kaer Morhen, an old witcher settlement of the Wolf Guild, is attacked. The assault is led by a powerful warrior – Agaius. A few years later, Ornella escapes from Aretuza, a newly rebuilt sorceress school, suspected of finding the legendary Book of Alzur. Triss Merigold chases after the renegade. Old Bard Dandelion, his bastard son, Julian, and revenge-seeking Lambert, the last monster killer, will help her.
The premiere took place a week ago and the film receives quite good reviews. It is worth emphasizing what the creators themselves write about, is a movie from fans for fans, made with heart and professionalism. It was created thanks to crowdfunding collections and none of its creators benefited from it. Despite the low budget, many experienced filmmakers took part in the film: Zbigniew Zamachowski (again as Dandelion), Mariusz Drężek (Witcher Lambert), Magdalena Różańska (Triss Merigold) and Kamila Kamińska (sorceress Ornella). It is also worth emphasizing that this is a full-length production, the whole lasts about 1.5 hours so it promises to be a real feast.
The premiere of the film will take place at official YouTube channel at. 18:30. I don't know about you, but I'm going to see him. It promises to be a great warm-up before the Witcher series of Netflix.
