Meanwhile Republic reached the strategic plans of Poczta Polska for the years 2020–2024, which are to be officially presented only next week, and according to which in these 5 years they want to increase revenues from the KEP segment from 1.1 billion to over 2.1 billion PLN, i.e. almost twice.
How do they want to do this? Well, currently the most convenient way for customers to collect parcels are either Collection Points or InPost Parcel Lockers. Polish Post as per entry on its own sides has 12 thousand collection points, together with Żabka stores, PKN Orlen stations and Ruch kiosks. By subtracting the not very convenient branches of Poczta Polska, of which there are 4600, almost 8 thousand are left. collection points, together with 200 machines for collecting parcels, located inside outlets or in Biedronka stores.
Currently, 1/4 of the parcels sent by PP is collected at collection points, only at the Christmas summit in December 2019 this number increased to 1/3, it will be more difficult for them to squeeze out of collection points, InPost parcel lockers are still more convenient.
So they need more machines, and as Rzeczpospolita has found out, Poczta Polska plans to expand its network of machines in the next two years, which are to be called Smartbox to 4,000! To bet your 6,000 Parcel machines, InPost needed almost 10 years.
