At the moment, AMD is not planning any more models, the previous generation will still be available for sale, and a new model with 16 cores will appear in the Ryzen 9 family. The new Threadrippers will hit stores on November 25.
AMD Ryzen 9 3950X
AMD has also completed the 3rd generation Ryzen family of processors today. They are joined by the most efficient system equipped with 16 cores with SMT support, which will be able to boast a base clock at 3.5 GHz and clock speed in turbo mode reaching even 4.7 GHz. AMD is getting closer to Intel when it comes to the processor clock itself, it seems that TSMC is getting better at producing chips at 7 nm. The TDP of this system has been set at 105W, and in the package with the processor there will be no cooling system, this must be purchased separately. The processor itself was valued at 749 USD, which in Poland will translate into about 3500 PLN. It will be compatible with motherboards equipped with the well-known AM4 socket, you only need to take care of the current BIOS.
